Mary Erl, a Lindenhurst resident and principal Financial Advisors in Gurnee, works with clients to help them meet their goals. Whether the goal is sending children to college or early retirement, Erl is able to assist people in realizing their futures. For the past two years, Mary Erl, Financial Advisor, has set itself apart from other financial advising companies by operating as a fee-only firm. The company works with clients on an hourly basis and does not receive commission.

“We truly offer objective opinions and advice that is in (the clients) best interest,” said Erl. “And there’s no minimum investment fee.”

Those interested in starting or changing their future financial plans with Mary Erl are asked to fill out a questionnaire and schedule an informal meeting. From there, perspective clients work with the company to figure out what is best to fulfill their specific needs. Research is done and a recommendation is given, a road map is created and reviewed with client approval.

“It doesn’t take a lot of time or money,” Erl said. She has worked with clients who have nothing to invest in the past. A full-scale financial plan does not have to be done.

“We develop a plan for where people want to be. Something that is good for now and the  future,” said Erl.

Erl is also involved in the business community in a number of other ways. She will be leading a discussion on retirement planning at the Lake Villa District Library on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. She is set to move to a new location Oct. 1. Its new home will be at 1800 Nations Drive, Suite 117 in Gurnee.
